JEDCO to host business valuation seminar

Have you ever wondered what your company is worth? Have you given thought to what goes into determining your business valuation? Are you thinking about selling your company, and if so, how do you ready yourself to receive the best price? Have you asked yourself any of these questions recently? JEDCO will offer a seminar to give you the answers.

As part of the Grow with JEDCO series, the economic development commission will host “Analyzing Your Company’s Worth,” a seminar developed to provide you with strategies to determine valuation. There are a variety of factors that go into evaluating a company, whether it’s an early-stage venture or a 10-year-old business. Simmons & White consultant, Clayton White, will help you understand these elements, including the actions you need to take to get the most value for your company. Topics include:

  • Company valuations based on sales,  profits, cash flow and assets
  • Factors that affect a multiplier in your business valuation (positive and negative)
  • How important people are to your  valuations
  • Key factors in building value for your company
  • Valuing a startup

Join us on April 30th at the East Bank Regional Library’s Jefferson Room (4747 W. Napoleon Ave. Metairie) from 9:00-10:15. Admission is free, but registration is required to attend. The event is open to all businesses and entrepreneurs. Click here to register. For more information, contact Alan Allgood at (504) 875-3928 or aallgood@jedco.org
