JEDCO, Jefferson Chamber to host seminar on protecting digital business assets

Technology plays a vital role in a business environment. It enhances communication and allows businesses to store and share information quickly and efficiently. But as more and more businesses trend towards tech, business owners need to have a strong understanding of where their information is being stored and the securities in place to protect that information. In the event of a disaster, business owners need to have a plan to restore data and get their business back online.

As part of the ongoing Prosper Jefferson seminar series,  the Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) and the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce teamed up to bring you a seminar on protecting your business’ digital assets. Four experts will join us to explain how to better secure your most important information in the Cloud and develop a disaster recovery plan to ensure that your data isn’t compromised. Topics will include:

  • Defining the cloud – Why businesses use it and why it’s important to understand
  • Understanding Data Centers – What are they and how do they work?
  • Protecting business assets in the cloud
  • Business continuity
  • Disaster recovery
  • Cyber Insurance

Join us Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at the JEDCO Conference Center (701A Churchill Parkway, Avondale, LA 70094) from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. for our upcoming Prosper Jefferson seminar. This event is free and open to the public. Please register at www.jedco.org/events
