JEDCO accepting nominations for 2016 Small Business of the Year Award

JEDCO is seeking nominations for its 2016 Small Business of the Year Award.

Purpose: To recognize a business firm (or firms) for its contribution to the Jefferson Parish economy and community.

Procedure: JEDCO staff will solicit and review all nominations for eligibility.  Nominations will then be evaluated and selected by the JEDCO Nominating Committee.

Timing: Deadline for application/nomination is September 30, 2016.  The award will be presented at the JEDCO Annual Luncheon in December.

Eligibility:

1. Company must be headquartered in Jefferson Parish
2. Company must be in continuous operation for at least 36 months
3. Company must have an active occupational license
4. Company must have fewer than 200 employees
5. Recipient will be subject to Dun & Bradstreet and criminal checks
6. Company/Principals’ civic or charitable involvement will be used as a selection criteria; however, this is not a primary determinant.
