Stores shuffle locations inside Lakeside, but spokesman says its good for business

If you’ve walked around Lakeside Mall lately, you might have noticed some stores are switching retail spaces. Officials said the moves aren’t because stores are closing, but to keep the mall fresh and lively. Where Banana Republic once was, now fresh drywall is being installed. In May of last year, Gap Inc. announced that 75 Old Navy and Banana Republic stores would be shut down but Tricia Phillpott with Lakeside Mall said their store wasn’t a part of those closures.
