JEDCO Resumes Operations

The Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) is fully operational and working with Jefferson Parish businesses on recovery efforts from the effects of Hurricane Gustav by providing up-to-date information and coordinating business assistance programs.
JEDCO has reopened its East Bank and West Bank offices effective Monday, September 8, 2008 after operating remotely from a temporary emergency center at the Marriott Lakeside in Metairie. The agency’s East Bank office is located at 3445 North Causeway Blvd., Suite 300 in Metairie and the West Bank office is located at 5201 Westbank Expressway, Suite 100, in Marrero. Regular office hour will be maintained Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
While all of JEDCO’s regular business services are available, additional services specifically initiated to help business as they recover from Hurricane Gustav are also available.
JEDCO personnel have already begun assessing the major needs of Jefferson Parish businesses and providing information on FEMA, SBA and state assistance.
