Jefferson Parish Closes Peters Road

Jefferson Parish has closed Peters Road in Harvey between 4th Street and the Peters Road Extension to allow for the movement of construction equipment.
The West Jefferson Levee District is shoring up several areas along the Harvey Canal that are low or experiencing seepage.
The problem areas being addressed do not pose a threat of flooding to the area and no evacuation has been called.
