JEDCO Releases Kenner Economic Profile

The Jefferson Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) released Thursday a first-ever up-to-date profile of Kenner information ranging from market access data and financing to business workforce profiles and site development opportunities.
The information was presented at the Kenner City Council meeting the night of January 21 and made available to the public the following day on JEDCO's website at www.jedco.org. JEDCO, which developed the special economic profile for Kenner, represents the latest statistical information, charts, maps, and a useful breakdown on the state's sixth largest city and the largest municipality in Jefferson Parish - the state's largest parish.
The Kenner Economic Profile was created to provide reliable economic and demographic information which has been difficult to compile as a result of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Gustav, JEDCO said. Residents and businesses should consider this profile as a resource for making informed decisions about locating and/or expanding in Kenner. In addition, local and national media outlets, corporate site selectors and new business prospects have turned to economic profiles as a source for accurate demographics and statistical information.
The profile is arranged in an easy-to-use format that can be downloaded for presentations and backup data about population, labor force, finance, tax bases, demographics and real estate, all augmented with appealing graphics.
Lacey Bordelon, Kenner's representative for JEDCO, said the economic profile will be updated on a regular basis throughout the year so that businesses looking to locate or expand in Kenner will be able to immediately access the most up-to-date information on Kenner.
