Also, Jefferson Parish is participating in a six-parish collaboration on evacuation re-entry for businesses following a disaster such as a hurricane. The parishes of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, St. Bernard, Plaquemines and St. John, as well as the Louisiana State Police, have agreed to honor each other's plans and to use the same re-entry documents.

Businesses that do most of their work in Jefferson Parish should apply for their re-entry vehicle passes now at http://www.jumpstartjefferson.com/.

Business owners are reminded that applying for Re-Entry placards is only one part of being prepared. For information on Hurricane Preparedness for businesses, review JEDCO's Hurricane Checklist and 10 Steps to Prepare Your Business.
