Jefferson /St. Charles Parish Line Sandbagging

As part of Jefferson Parish’s effort against the potential storm surge, the East Jefferson Levee District is beginning to sandbag Airline Drive at the Jefferson/ St. Charles parish line.
One lane will remain open in each direction until 6 p.m. when the sandbagging will be completed. Residents traveling east from St. Charles can enter Jefferson Parish by turning south on St. Rose Street to River Road, then turning east toward Jefferson Parish.
