The Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) is pleased to introduce Lacey G. Bordelon in her new role within the organization. Lacey will serve JEDCO as the new Deputy Director.
In her new role, Lacey will be tasked with directing JEDCO’s internationally award-winning business retention and expansion program, which is designed to link existing businesses with resources and assistance to help to overcome obstacles and attain growth objectives. She is also responsible for business attraction efforts for the organization, including the preparation of competitive proposals to recruit companies to the parish. Lacey will also oversee the continued development and growth of the Churchill Technology and Business Park, as well as the organization’s strategic planning initiatives.
Lacey joined the JEDCO team in 2007 as an Economic Development Specialist before being promoted to the Director of Economic Development Services. She received her Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans and has received professional training in courses focused on business retention & expansion, real estate development and credit analysis through the International Economic Development Council and the National Development Council. Lacey’s vast experience in managing and implementing business assistance programs, coupled with her background in planning, made her the ideal candidate for the position.
“I couldn’t be more excited to assume my new role at this prestigious and professional economic development organization,” Lacey says. “Working for such an outstanding organization backed by an amazing team, which has propelled JEDCO forward in its mission of job and business growth in Jefferson Parish, only adds to my excitement. I look forward to furthering JEDCO’s objectives, realizing the successful development of Churchill Technology and Business Park and ultimately, serving the needs of the Jefferson Parish business community.”
“Lacey has played a vital role in the success of this organization for years,” says Jerry Bologna, JEDCO’s executive director. “Lacey’s vast experience in managing a variety of economic development projects and her intense focus to detail make her a perfect fit for this role. I couldn’t be happier to be working with her to bring JEDCO to the next level of success.”
