Jefferson Parish Pulse: Ochsner Health’s Prevalence Study

This week on the Jefferson Parish Pulse, we spoke with Dr. Leonardo Seoane, Senior Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for Ochsner Health. In early May, Ochsner Health announced the launch of a COVID-19 prevalence study in Jefferson and Orleans parishes to better understand the spread and impact of the virus. All this week, Ochsner Health will test residents for  coronavirus antibodies. It is an especially important time for this study to be conducted as the state lifts the Stay-at-Home order later in the week.

Ochsner Health has been on the front lines of the pandemic, providing care to our residents and undertaking a variety of studies to understand the virus. The health system – and all of its employees are absolute heroes. On this episode, we had a chance to talk to Dr. Seoane about the prevalence study, the reopening of the economy, and how Ochsner Health can support businesses with their Employer Solutions Toolkit as they begin to open their doors and welcome customers.
