It’s a celebration 200 years in the making! The Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) is proud to join Jefferson Parish and key business and community leaders to celebrate the Jefferson Parish Bicentennial. February 11, 2025 marks the 200th birthday of Jefferson Parish. All year long, Jefferson Parish and key partners host a year of festivities to commemorate the rich history and culture, diversity, innovation, and resilience that have shaped this place into a thriving hub for commerce and community.
Businesses are encouraged to be a part of this special anniversary by spearheading their own events, activities, and programming throughout the year. They may want to consider creating a special Bicentennial product, including the JP Bicentennial logo on packaging, or finding a way to incorporate the Bicentennial logo into signage, storefronts, and/or social media content. This is the perfect time for businesses to showcase their historical milestones and success stories. There are lots of ways to get engaged!

Submit an Event on the Bicentennial Community Calendar: Jefferson Parish businesses and organizations, as well as residents and community groups, are invited to add significant dates to the Bicentennial calendar (i.e. upcoming events, business anniversaries, historical moments, major milestones, etc.) To submit an event visit the main page of the Bicentennial Calendar and select “Submit an Event” at the top right of the calendar.
